Marconi lnstruments 4220 ATE system is the latest member of the well established 4200 series designed to ensure high board throughput. It provides analogue and digital in-circuit testing with up to 2048 test points. The 4220 is suited to the high volume manufacturing involved in a wide variety of products where throughput is paramount. Existing 4200 users can maintain maximum flexibility for minimum investment when upgrading to the new 4220. Programming is reduced significantly as a result of the improved software, which takes inputs directly from CAD, thus reducing debug time and enabling fixtures to be automatically wired. The Marconi 4220 has an advanced digital subsystem with a comprehensive set of tools such as pattern RAM for ease of flash memory testing, ISP capability and extensions for instrumentation with high-quality signal routing through to the fixture. An upgrade kit is available for existing Marconi 4200 users wishing to upgrade their PCB test performance.
