European advanced soldering technology tour

Vitronics Soltec will host a series of seminars on current high-interest topics in soldering (wave and reflow) throughout Europe during 2001. Entitled Make The Right Connection, these tutorials will cover key soldering issues such as lead-free soldering, selective technology and 0201 components soldering, among many others. Manufacturing specialists will be invited to the company’s fivesteps program to successful lead-free soldering implementation, developed by the technology group and proven successful in multiple production manufacturing environments. According to Dennis Barbini, member of the advanced technology lab, „Our five-steps program begins where the white papers end -in the practical implementation of lead-free soldering. Our goal is to show manufacturing engineers not only how to begin, but how to get their lead-free lines up and running successfully with good yields – and to keep them that way.“ The technology group is comprised of more than a dozen process specialists employed globally throughout the facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, USA, and Singapore, who also work in close cooperation with world-recognized technical institutions. The next tour dates are from beginning of March to April in Italy(Milano), Spain (Barcelona), France (Paris/Intertronic), Austria (Wien), Germany (Würz-burg), Sweden (Stockholm),Poland (Krakow) and the UK (Birmingham/ Nepcon).
