The Siplace S-23 HM modular platform enables precision placement of SMDs from 0201s up to 18.7mm. The compact machine is capable of a maximum rate of 25,000 components per hour with an accuracy of ±90mm at 4-sigma on a footprint of less than 4 sq.meters. The cycle time per component is 140millisec. The changeover tableis equipped with wheels and a lifting device, considerably shortening the time required fora set-up change. The Z-axis, with faster upward movements and a controlled soft putting down of the component, ensures precise placement. The cutter allows tape heights of up to 15mm. The machine is prepared for the installation of a 12-nozzle or 6- nozzle revolver head. This head modularity enables maximum flexibility, and the line can be adapted easily to particular production demands. The S-23 HM is based on the collect &place principle of the Siplace platform: two revolver placement heads are installed on two independent traveling XY-gantries. The heads pick up components from 8, 12/16 and 24/32mm tape or bulk case feeders – up to 80x8mm belts. The stationary PCB and feeder assure optimum placement quality.
