The inspection and measuring system LPKF QuickMeasure aims to set standards in quality control. Designed as a combination of scanner and high-precision instrument, it is suited for inspection and measurement of print stencils and PCBs, and can be used with other flat objects. This combination of functions offers the possibility of fast and reliable inspection of board assemblies, as well as precise measurements of critical ar-eas. In just a couple of mi-nutes, the gear with its scanner function checks the existence of all cut locations, determines their positions, sizes and precision. For a comparison of nominal and actual values the Gerber data are used. With the measuring function, one can perform highly precise measurements of, for example, the laser-cut structures of a stencil, and measure all critical parameters such as edge contours, roughness of the inner walls, vibration, etc. This function, working with a precision of ±3em(+ length-related error) and a resolution of 1,7em, can inspect samples or critical areas with extremely high requirements. QuickMeasure has been designed for both automatic and manual operation. The inspection is documented, and can be used as proof for ISO-9000 procedures.
